We hope everyone enjoyed the holidays as we reboot, refresh, and get ready for the upcoming election cycle!
Since the ::first:: Thursday was the day after New Year's we figured it would be better to push January's meeting back a bit.
Please join us as we will be spending the first half of the evening discussing our events for State Senate in the 1st District and South Philly State Rep House Districts. State Rep. Elizabeth Fiedler will stop by to to kick off our meeting with a few words, and take any questions you may have. Additionally, we will be going over ballot information for the Primary on April 28th, and possibly talk about our upcoming endorsement process.
For the second half of the evening we've been given the opportunity to have Destinie Campanella, harm reduction specialist, and Jose Caraballo, environmental coordinator, with the City of Philadelphia to present and take your questions. They will be discussing the placement of disposable syringe boxes through locations in South Philly, along with the outreach work being done at areas like Broad & Snyder. As an opioid crisis grows in a way that touches us all we hope you can join us to talk through this issue as a group.
